Vilnius palms are colourful ornaments, wreathed of herbs on a
wooden rod and used as a decoration for the Palm Sunday before Easter.
When visiting the granary-museum of rural life and Lithuanian palms in
Čekoniškės, one will learn about Vilnius region traditions. The museum
exhibits palms of different sizes and peculiar shapes.
Each year, in the middle of February, the Shrove Tuesday celebration
is organized in Čekoniškės for children and their parents. During the feast,
masks are made and worn.
Opening times:
III-V 11:00 – 16:00
